Service Description

Compared to a baby shower, a Mama Blessing is all about the mother to be. It’s an intimate gathering inspired by an ancient Navajo ceremony called a “blessing way”. During this ceremony we shower mom-to-be with love, support and encouragement. It gives us a chance to make her feel empowered about giving birth and for the transition into motherhood. The most beautiful thing to me is for the expecting mother to be held with so much love and presence by the most important women in her life. This gives her the feeling she’s not embarking on this journey alone and that she will always have a strong net of women to celebrate the highs and also be there during the lows that shouldn’t be taboo in motherhood. This gathering will be made to fit the mother. There are many options to choose from to knit together the most beautiful gathering for this unique circle of women. I guide the circle following a strong structure that allows us to flow freely within. Here are some examples you can choose from when planning a Mama Blessing: - Crafting bracelets, candles or an aura spray to be used before and during birth. - Painting the belly while connecting to the baby. - Massaging the mama surrounded by beautiful, relaxing music. - Giving her a flower foot bath - Making a treasure chest full of wishes for the (home)birth. - Sharing/blessing circle where we each share words from the heart for the mother to be. We will be in circle for 2,5 to 3 hours and will take place in an intimate yoga studio in Haarlem. We can always discuss having the gathering on location.
